Remove all of the hardware and label the doors.
Make a map of which door was where and label them in a spot that won’t get painted over or removed
Get the grease off
Things in the kitchen get greasy. There’s no avoiding that. Just be sure to remove all of the grease or the paint won’t stick to the cabinets!
Consider filling open grain
Depending on the type of wood you have, you might need to fill the open grain. After adding paint, the pores could become very noticeable. It all depends on the look you are going for in the end!
Lightly sand in between coats
To create a smooth finish, lightly sand between coast of primer or paint then vacuum up the dust.
Use quality products
Be sure you purchased a quality paint that is meant for cabinets as well as quality brushes. They truly do make a difference in your final product!
